Job Description:
An HR Recruiter for a school manages the full-cycle recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding. They ensure compliance with educational standards, utilize job boards and professional networks to attract talent, conduct interviews, and coordinate with school leadership to meet staffing needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Selection: Utilize platforms like LinkedIn, job portals, and social media to find qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Screening & Interviewing: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and facilitate interviews with hiring managers.
- Job Posting: Write and post detailed job descriptions for teaching and non-teaching positions.
- Network Building: Build relationships with universities, teacher training programs, and educational associations to create a talent pipeline.
- Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process, including background checks, reference checks, and contract signing.
- Compliance: Ensure all hiring complies with educational labor laws, child protection policies, and school regulations.
- Records Management: Maintain accurate candidate data and employee records within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as an HR Recruiter, preferably within the education sector.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with candidates and work collaboratively with school administrators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of education-specific hiring regulations and certifications.
- Experience in high-volume hiring (e.g., hiring multiple teachers before an academic year).
