Job Description:

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in switching, routing, firewalls, wireless technology, and cloud networking. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures, providing advanced support, and collaborating on innovative solutions. Additionally, the role involves managing escalations, conducting network maintenance, and ensuring system reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver presentations outlining findings and recommendations to client managers and engineers.
  • Manage and implement switching technologies including VLAN, VXLAN, VTP, VSS on platforms such as Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, HP, Juniper, and SDLAN.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols for traditional WAN and SDWAN, including solutions from VeloCloud, Cisco Meraki, Viptela, Aruba, and Fortinet.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in virtual firewalls and firewall technologies such as Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto NG firewalls, and Fortinet.
  • Apply knowledge of wireless technologies, specifically Aruba and Cisco.
  • Understand and work with link load balancers, server load balancers, and data center device management and implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop network engineering solutions from concept to implementation.
  • Assist in developing detailed network designs, including software-defined networking, network segmentation, network access control, network security, and cloud networking components.
  • Analyze emerging network technologies and provide recommendations.
  • Align with support priorities and objectives, actively contributing to their accomplishment.
  • Utilize working knowledge of network security protocols, LAN, WAN, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, proxy, VPN, firewalls, TCP/IP, intranets, extranets, VoIP, virtualization, high availability, and backup/disaster recovery.
  • Deploy and configure various network devices and services, including SD-WAN, load balancers, routers, switches, IPS/IDS, wireless LAN, VPN, MPLS, RADIUS, and MFA.
  • Provide Level 2/Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Support Level 1 and Level 2 engineers.
  • Handle customer escalations and take ownership of resolutions.
  • Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and case analysis as required.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for upper management and clients.
  • Manage virtual networks on cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and VMware.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Conduct system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Manage and configure network devices via SNMP using RMM tools such as N-Central N-able, ConnectWise, PRTG, and SolarWinds.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues using tools like PSping, Telnet, traceroute, network watcher, Wireshark, and Fiddler.
  • Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Create SOPs for different solutions to assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 team members.
  • Update and share daily, weekly, and monthly ticket trackers and analyses.

Candidate Must-Have:

  • Proven experience in network engineering, including switching, routing, and firewall technologies.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting network protocols and SDWAN solutions.
  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies and cloud networking.
  • Experience with virtual networks on platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and VMware.
  • Ability to provide advanced support and handle escalations.
  • Excellent communication skills for client collaboration and presentations.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and recommend emerging network technologies.
  • Commitment to maintaining network reliability, security, and performance.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate or above.
  • Certifications desirable: CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, Check Point certified, etc.

Work Experience:

  • Experience as a Senior Network Engineer Level 3 with an understanding of design aspects.
  • 9 to 12 years of total working experience in a related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional remote work and travel to other company locations as needed.
  • Full-time position with occasional after-hours support for critical issues or scheduled maintenance.
  • Work timings will be primarily UK & US business hours
  • Prior work experience in an MNC and matrix organization.
