We are seeking an experienced Dy. Manager / Manager – EHS with strong exposure to food manufacturing environments, particularly namkeen/snack plants. The role is responsible for end-to-end Environment, Health & Safety compliance, including ETP, STP operations, waste management (plastic & other wastes), statutory liaison with GPCB/CPCB, and contractor safety management. Preferably M.Sc. / Degree / PG Diploma in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or equivalent. Additional certifications in Industrial Safety / Environmental Management preferred
Experience & Skill Requirements
5-10 years of EHS experience in food manufacturing / FMCG, preferably namkeen/snacks
Strong hands-on exposure to ETP, STP and pollution control compliance
Practical experience dealing with GPCB / CPCB inspections and submissions
Knowledge of Plastic Waste Management Rules and waste disposal practices
Experience managing on-roll and contract workforce
Good documentation, coordination and stakeholder management skills

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Environment, ETP & STP Management
Overall in charge of ETP and STP operations, ensuring continuous compliance with GPCB & CPCB norms
Lead and supervise the EHS team (3 on-roll + 10 contract workers) and daily operations
Monitoring inlet/outlet water parameters, sludge generation, chemical dosing and process efficiency
Maintaining operational logs, lab reports, statutory registers and compliance records
Handling Consent to Establish / Consent to Operate, amendments and renewals
Coordination during inspections by Pollution Control Boards and other authorities
2. Waste Management (Namkeen Plant Focus)
End to end management of solid, liquid, hazardous and plastic waste generated in namkeen manufacturing
Implementation of Plastic Waste Management Rules, including coordination for EPR compliance where applicable
Management of packaging waste such as plastic films, laminates, pouches and wrappers
Safe handling and disposal of ETP sludge, used oil, chemical containers and hazardous waste
Liaison with authorized waste vendors/recyclers and maintenance of manifests and records
Conducting periodic waste audits and supporting waste reduction initiatives
3. Health & Safety Management
Implementation and monitoring of EHS policies, SOPs and safety standards across the plant
Conducting safety audits, risk assessments (HIRA) and hazard identification
Ensuring compliance related to machine safety, fire safety, electrical safety and PPE usage
Planning and execution of mock drills, emergency response plans and safety trainings
Investigation of accidents, incidents and near-misses with corrective and preventive actions
Compliance with Factories Act and applicable safety legislations
4. Food Industry–Specific EHS Compliance
Alignment of EHS practices with food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements
Coordination with Production, QC and Maintenance teams to avoid EHS-related food quality risks
Safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals used in processing, sanitation and ETP operations
Ensuring EHS preparedness for customer audits, third-party audits and statutory inspections
5. Contractor & Workforce Safety Management
Safety induction, supervision and monitoring of contract workers deployed in ETP, STP and waste handling areas
