Relationship Management:
Develop relationships with key client personnel

Position Overview:
The company : is one of the largest independent CPA and business advisory firms in Northern New England. Our office in India is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will work collaboratively with members of the team to complete a variety of US business and individual tax returns. Ideal candidates will possess technical knowledge, project management skills, the ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and monitor own budget.
What you’ll do:
Develops a relationship with engagement-related client personnel responsible for tax issues.
Maintains contact with client personnel throughout the year; possesses a knowledge of the client and the client’s business, especially as related to tax matters.
Collaborates on decisions on routine tax matters, with an A&A person or Tax Supervisor, Manager or Partner.
Brings unusual or significant tax questions to the attention of the manager.
Researches and proposes resolution to technical tax matters.
Prepares complex income tax returns, including consolidated and multi-state tax returns.
Wraps up tax return engagement according to engagement timetable and alerts supervisor of scheduling concerns.
Communicates with appropriate individuals within the firm on tax matters related to clients assigned. Keeps Client Service Team informed of all important developments on engagement.
Coordinates the scheduling of tax accrual review and tax return preparation or review with the A&A Department.
Demonstrates effective project management skills, inspires teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and uses current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service.
May be responsible for client adherence to compliance related deadlines such as extensions, tax estimate requirements and tax return filings.
